Senior Services Society, a proud partner at Douglas College Envision Financial Community Building Programs aims at providing the senior adults in B.C the comfort and care at their best. Their contribution towards the society plays a vital role as they are actively integrating with various other charitable foundations to formulate a full-cycle guide for the senior adults.
They engage with Social Programs, Meals on Wheels, Better
at Home Programs, and Form and Tax Completion. SSS also
enables the community to expand their knowledge through
Workshops and Presentations, Housing Navigator Training,
and Building Manager Resources.
Our Douglas College Student Lucy Jakoncic is currently working with SSS to promote their message across the Digital realm. SSS requires attention towards building up a strong awareness amongst the market and to spread all the valuable production that is being offered by SSS to the senior adults. Lucy focuses on capturing the eye of the audience via a set of stories of senior adults (women) that express their mundane struggles .
She aims on capturing the day-to-day struggle that an older adult women faces in terms of housing in B.C. Her emphasis is on the motto that it is not to find a quick and fast solution to these housing issues, however to patiently wait to allocate reasonable and justified housing for these older adults.
