Alan Lehmann is a novelist and freelance writer, a former English teacher for more than three decades. His novels are Hamlet the Novel, Inca Sunset and Denver Aquarius. Hamlet the Novel is the adaptation of the original piece, while Inca Sunset is a historical fiction about an indigenous nation of the Inca empire and lastly Denver Aquarius is a more modern story about a young man’s adventures in the 1970s seeking help from an unorthodox therapy center in the city.

Alan experienced challenges to market his books, because of the nature of the publishing industry, lack of time and limited resources. Mr. Lehmann believes in the unique value of his novels, his mission is to show people how even the more abstract readings can be understandable and enjoyable to a wider audience.
He is seeking marketing, promotional and sales assistance to be able to sell his novels successfully on the market. He expects to sell more than 100 books altogether and for the program members to offer different successful marketing strategies which he can apply in the future as well.

Envision Financial and Douglas College Community Building Program partners with Alan Lehmann to market the books directly to readers (B2C) and to different organizations including school libraries and bookstores (B2B). Through this partnership, marketing practicum students can learn and grow by applying their knowledge and skills to develop ideas in a practical environment, and to the solo entrepreneur Mr. Lehmann, who can benefit from the insights and suggestions students will provide. The student marketing teams hope to write a new sales story for Mr. Lehmann's books.
